Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Sponsors "Palace of Champions: Fencing for Spirit Exhibition Match"

Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group, the exclusive sponsor from the jewellery industry for the 15th National Games, and the 12th National Games for National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, also leads the design and crafting of the official medals for China’s premier multi-sport events. Capitalising on its excellence in aesthetics, design and craftsmanship, the Group strives to bring the artistry of jewellery design into the realm of sports.
As part of the momentum leading up to the National Games, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery sponsored the “Palace of Champions: Fencing for Spirit Exhibition Match”, held on 26 August at the Hong Kong Palace Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District, presenting specially crafted commemorative trophies to the fencers. The exhibition match featured top-notch fencers from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and overseas, competing in épée, foil, and sabre disciplines, serving as a vibrant prelude to the upcoming National Games. Mr Kent Wong, Managing Director of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group, attended the event in person and presented the trophies to the fencers as a token of appreciation for their endeavours and spirited participation.
Chow Tai Fook Jewellery has meticulously crafted pure gold-sculpted fencing figures that capture the momentous essence of decisiveness, power and honour, and were presented as timeless art creations to the fencers on this special occasion. Drawing inspiration from real fencing bouts, the design translates a fencer’s strike into a single poised stance that conveys both strength and grace. The designer, by observing fencers’ focus and explosive energy, transformed that dynamic tension into a creation in which the forward‑pointing blade symbolises courage and perseverance. Crafted with exquisite precision, the creation embodies exceptional artistry and structural strength, coming to life in a gesture that seamlessly blends power and elegance, while manifesting sheer design and innovation. The commemorative trophies presented were collectively valued at HK$100,000.
Mr Kent Wong, Managing Director of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group said, “With 96 years of expertise in jewellery design and creativity, combined with the traditional Chinese gold craftsmanship we have garnered over time, we have reimagined the spirit of fencing in a pure gold-sculpted fencer that is both meaningful and collectible as a commemorative trophy. With the Group’s warm blessings, we hope the fencers, whether on their fencing journey or in life, will be inspired to confront challenges with strength and determination, and keep their sights firmly set on the future. These commemorative trophies are more than tributes to the fencers and their perseverance, as they also add a distinctive touch to the prelude events of the National Games to come”.
